Privacy Policy

traitpilot is a service that generates personal reflection reports based on a personality test and the situation you describe yourself. This policy explains what data we store, why we store it, for how long, and what rights you have.

We've written it as plainly as we can. If anything is unclear, email us at support@traitpilot.com.

Short summary

• We store your report and your email address for up to 12 months, after which everything is deleted automatically.
• We never sell your data and never use it for marketing.
• We do not train any AI models on your answers. Our AI provider doesn't either.
• We use two functional cookies. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies.
• You can ask us to delete all your data earlier at any time by emailing support@traitpilot.com.

What data we process

When you use traitpilot we process the following:

Your test answers and your situation description. What you fill in so that we can generate the report — answers to the personality test, the situation you describe, the thoughts and worries you write down. This is data you actively provide yourself.

Optional demographics. If you provide your gender, age, life phase, or prior experience with personality tests, this information is used the same way as your other answers: anonymized and aggregated. It is never linked to you as an individual in published statistics. These fields are fully optional and may be left blank.

Aggregate statistics. To improve our analyses and share anonymized insights about patterns in our user base, we generate aggregate statistics from test results and situation descriptions. The statistics contain no personal data and cannot be linked back to you.

The generated report. The text our AI provider creates based on your input. It is stored so that you can return and read it via your unique report link.

Your email address. We receive your email address from Stripe when you pay, so that we can send the receipt and report link to you.

Technical data for abuse protection. We temporarily store your IP address linked to how often you call our services, in order to protect against automated abuse and runaway costs.

We do not collect: name, phone number, physical address, precise geographic location, browsing history on other websites, or any form of tracking over time or across sites.

Why we process the data

• Test answers and situation description are processed to generate your report. Legal basis: contract — you have purchased a service that requires this.
• The report and your email address are stored so that you can revisit the report and so that we can handle any complaints. Legal basis: contract.
• IP address for abuse protection is processed for our legitimate interest in protecting the service against automated abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

How long we store data

Deletion of report and email is performed by a scheduled job that runs daily. You can ask us to delete earlier at any time by emailing support@traitpilot.com.

Who processes the data on our behalf

In order to deliver the service we use the following data processors. Each of them processes data only for the specific purpose stated below.

Supabase (database and server infrastructure). Stores your report, your email address and technical tables. Servers within the EU.

Stripe (payment). Handles your payment and receives your email address for the receipt. Stripe is the data controller for its own payment data under its own privacy policy.

Resend (email delivery). Sends the receipt and report link to your email address. Email content passes through their system temporarily during delivery.

OpenAI (AI generation). Receives your compiled input (test results and situation description) over an encrypted connection, generates the report, and returns it. OpenAI does not train its models on what we send via the API, and we use settings that minimize their own retention of the content.

We never sell or share your data with any party other than the above, and they only receive it in order to deliver traitpilot.

Cookies

traitpilot uses two functional cookies:

• tp_lang — stores your language choice (Swedish or English) so you don't have to choose again on your next visit. Stored for 365 days.
• sidebar:state — stores whether a side panel is open or closed. Stored for 7 days.

Both are necessary for the interface to function and contain no personal data. We use no tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no marketing cookies.

Stripe's payment page (which opens when you pay) may set its own necessary cookies in order to complete the payment securely. These are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

• Know what data we hold about you.
• Receive a copy of the data.
• Have incorrect data corrected.
• Have your data deleted earlier than 12 months.
• Object to our processing based on legitimate interest.
• File a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) if you believe we are handling your data incorrectly.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@traitpilot.com. We respond within 30 days.

International transfers

Some of our providers (in particular OpenAI) may process data outside the EU/EEA. When that happens, the transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or equivalent approved safeguards.

Changes to the policy

If we update this policy we will publish the new version here with a new date. For material changes that affect you we will give clear notice on the website.
